The Island Insurance Foundation has donated $25,000 for a new, 119-bed skilled nursing facility at the St. Francis Kupuna Village in Liliha. Known as the Clarence T.C. Ching Villas, the facility occupies 50,000 square feet of space on the top three floors of the Sullivan Building on the Liliha campus. St. Francis Healthcare System has selected Ohana Pacific Management as its partner to manage the skilled nursing facility.
The Clarence T.C. Ching Villas is part of Phase I of a multi-year transformation of the campus into a one-stop center for health, wellness and social services to meet the needs of Hawaii’s growing senior population. St. Francis envisions future phases to include a senior community center, adult day care and adult day health, assisted living facility, and townhomes for independent living.
St. Francis Healthcare System provides a broad range of health and social programs, including hospice and palliative care, adult day care, bathing services, an affordable senior independent living community, a homeless outreach program in Waianae, and a preschool.
