Island Insurance appoints Todd Yamanaka as Vice President, Personal Lines and Marketing
Island Insurance, the state’s largest locally owned property and casualty (P&C) insurance carrier, has appointed Todd Yamanaka as Vice President, Personal Lines and Marketing. In addition to his current marketing responsibilities, Yamanaka will manage Island’s personal insurance division, which includes personal auto, homeowners, condo, renters, personal umbrella and dwelling fire insurance.
Prior to joining Island Insurance, Yamanaka managed the marketing division of Central Pacific Bank. He also has experience in the retail food industry with local and national companies. Yamanaka has been involved in various community and trade organizations. He is currently the board secretary of the Lanakila Pacific Center and is past president of PATCH Hawaii. He is also a member of the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce.
Yamanaka holds a Bachelors in Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Washington and a Masters in Business Administration degree (with honors) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is a graduate of Iolani School and holds the professional designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
