Island Insurance Promotes Denise Kadomoto to Assistant Vice President and Controller
Island Insurance Company, the state’s only locally-owned property and casualty insurer, has promoted Denise Kadomoto to Assistant Vice President, Accounting and Finance.
In this position, Kadomoto will continue to serve as the company’s Controller, a position that she has held since 2015. Kadomoto first joined Island in 2007 as Senior Accountant. She has nearly 35 years of accounting and finance experience with past roles at Royal State Financial Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, the Queen’s Health Systems and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Kadomoto received a Bachelor of Business Administration (with distinction) in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a graduate of Moanalua High School. She is a member of both the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
