Island Insurance Foundation's 2025 Impact

The Island Insurance Foundation is the charitable arm of Island Insurance, Hawai‘i’s only locally owned and managed property and casualty insurance carrier. Since 2003, the Foundation has donated over $15 million to a wide array of non-profit organizations across Hawai‘i. It is recognized as one of the top 25 most active private foundations in Hawai‘i.
The Island Insurance Foundation continued its commitment to strengthening Hawaiʻi's communities throughout 2025, donating over $513,000 to support local nonprofits and organizations across multiple areas that directly impact the lives of island residents.
In 2025, the Foundation donated over $260,000 to Hawaiʻi nonprofits providing economic relief and social support to the community. These contributions helped organizations deliver essential services to families and individuals facing financial challenges, reinforcing the foundation's dedication to supporting those in need across the islands.
Education remained a cornerstone of the Foundation's giving priorities. Over $111,000 was directed toward primary and secondary schools and youth-focused organizations, investing in the future of Hawaiʻi's keiki and helping to create opportunities for the next generation of island leaders.
The Foundation also recognized the vital connection between community wellbeing and public health, contributing approximately $65,000 to Hawaiʻi nonprofits working to create healthier communities. These organizations play a critical role in promoting wellness and improving quality of life for residents throughout the state.

Cultural preservation and the arts received over $77,000 in support from the Foundation. These contributions helped cultural organizations and arts groups continue their important work enriching the lives of island residents and preserving the unique heritage that makes Hawaii special.
Beyond financial contributions, Island Insurance demonstrated its commitment through direct community engagement, donating over 300 volunteer hours throughout the year. This hands-on involvement reflects Island Insurance's belief that building stronger communities requires both resources and personal dedication.
