Commercial Auto provides required liability, personal injury protection, uninsured motorist and underinsured motorist coverages, as well as optional coverages such as physical damage protection for automobiles owned, leased or hired by the named insured.
Commercial General Liability is issued to business organizations to protect them against liability claims for bodily injury and property damage arising out of premises, operations, products and completed operations and claims for personal and advertising injury liability.
  • Liquor Liability insurance helps to protect businesses that sell, serve or distribute alcohol against bodily injury or property damage that may result from their operations.
  • Employment Practices Liability Insurance (“EPLI”) is tailored for small to mid-sized businesses with 50 or fewer employees, EPLI protects employers from liability damages and defense costs brought on by employment-related lawsuits.
Commercial Property protects the future of your business against direct physical loss of or damage to your assets, including the building in which your business operates, the property housed there, equipment and inventory. Commercial Property can also pay for actual loss of your business income as a result of direct physical loss of or damage to property at your business premises.
Commercial Umbrella (also known as excess liability insurance) is an essential coverage that provides additional coverage limits when the standard limits of commercial automobile, commercial general liability and/or the employers liability section of workers compensation policies are exceeded.
Surety is a written agreement to guarantee compliance, payment or performance of an act. Island can also write contract (construction) bonds and specialty bonds.
Commercial Crime (also known as “business crime” or “fidelity” insurance) is designed to protect and indemnify Hawaii businesses from loss to their money and/or securities from a variety of causes of loss committed by employees or third parties.
Commercial Inland Marine covers property loss exposures that cannot be conveniently or reasonably confined to a fixed location or a standard form. It includes insurance for certain movable property, instrumentalities of transportation and communication, legal liability coverage for bailees, electronic data processing (EDP) coverage and other risks.
Commercial Package combines or packages two or more coverages (typically Commercial General Liability and Commercial Property) into a single policy.
Garage Liability covers the legal liability of automobile dealers, garages, repair shops and service stations for claims of bodily injury and property damage arising out of business operations.
Workers Compensation is required by law and provides medical coverage and income replacement for employees who sustain personal injury either by accident in the course and scope of employment or by disease caused by or resulting from the nature of the employment.

Risk Control – Island’s team of risk control representatives work to assist customers in being proactive about their safety management efforts and address operational exposures across various lines of insurance.

Premium Audit – The focus of Island’s Premium Audit Department is to determine proper exposures and verify classifications assigned to auditable commercial policies, to ensure fair and equitable premiums are being charged.
